Thought I'd put it out there in some organized thread...Extrapolation from Ramon's idea.
1.Tomorrow-San Bruno Mt...Approx 40/45 miles from dowtown SF 9am start. Finito
2.Saturday-Mt. Tam,start 9am did it anyway...Late start Finito
3.Sunday- Mt. Diablo start 9:30am ... Aprox 80 miles from Pleasant hill Bart via Morgan Territories end with Diablo
4.Monday- Mt Hamilton...10:15am- Marco's route, I'm coming down on Caltrans
My warm up for the Ride to L.A.
anyone up for it??

What time are you thinking of starting the Sunday ride? My plans fell apart, and I could do a Mt. D. before hooking up with your ride to get my climbing in. Of course that means I'll be dog slow by the time I start riding with you.......

OK, that's early enough that I'll do my 2nd Mt. D (D-Peats!) at the end of the ride. I think I'll tag along (and try not to hold you up too much). And I'll see you on Monday too.

I had thought to ride Diablo Saturday
But... Tell me about your Saturday schedule. I don't think I can, but tempt me....

Working goes directly to the bike schwag fund. Just because my girlfriend rides on the back of one of my bikes, just makes the two funds coincide. That's called intelligent financial planning :lol:
Anyway, all kidding aside... Ruth works Saturdays, so our weekends together are usually just Sundays. Since we both have Monday off this week, we're trying to make the most out of it :love:

From what I heard, you're picking up a pretty nice set of wheels tomorrow :innocent:. In that case you should join us up Hamilton on Monday :D

All right, I'll do Diablo on Sunday as I haven't been able to get many miles in this week. I'll be on the 8:36 train from Civic Center which will put me in Pleasant Hill @ 9:17. You still expect to leave around 9:30?

BTW, the big ride in the mountain, Big T & Angeles Crest ride got cancelled, due to cold temps and rain. Oh well ...

We'll you're a better man than thou. I stepped out this am and the roads were wet, It's drizziling!. I think since I paid $1500.00 bucks to ride next week I'd rather not break a collar bone the week before, and as far as Mt. Tam in the rain?

Damn, talk about 4 days of fun! Or is that pain? I'd love to join ya Pete, but umm, well, truth be told, not digging climbing lately. Today is a good day for the Wii, although it looks like it drying up.
Just back from sports basement in the presidio. Crowded parking lot. Lots of people with grim faces at the heavy mist. Gladiators....

2 Down and 2 to go… (Impromptu Gladiator Ride!)
I started the day with major trepidation. I figured with todays forecast, and seeing the wet roads, I had pretty much settled on not doing the ride. I called Ramon and said let’s wait till noon and see what it looks like. After falling asleep like a lazy dog at 11am Ramon woke me up afternoon time and said “you wanna ride”? Begrudgingly I said ok. He met me at my place and we were off.
We made amazing time across the bridge and through Sausalito. It was looking pretty bad, and by Fairfax I decided to stop into “Sunshine Bicycle” and get a rain coat. Ramon talked me into get a pair of booties…I thought that was a bit hardcore, but went ahead anyway. What a great purchase! Well worth it! My feet were warm and snug for the duration.
The weather really got crappy going up to Alpine dam. I was fearing a “March of the Penguins Ride” At the dam we traded with a young couple our cameras for some portrait shooting. When we started up the back of Tam the rain eased up but it was really cold and foggy. I was perfectly warm and the Hammer Gel was really doing it’s job. I was able to stay with Ramon, and I really felt incredible.
At the top visibility was about 30 to 40 yards! It was really serene and I was really happy I decided to do the ride. The descent was super fast and dry in spots. We caught a couple of fast riders in Sausalito and pacelined to the bridge.
Kind of a nice brisk energetic ride and I’m glad Ramon pushed me into it. I feel really good. Cathy made a giant stack of blueberry pancakes ( flap Jacks or crack jacks) which really worked in tandem with the Hammer gel. The booties were magnificent… don’t know why I haven’t worn them before.
Tomorrow will be awesome and I’m looking forward to it.

I was gonna ride Diablo but the weather here was so crappy I stayed in and did a bunch of tidy making.
Now i feel like I wimped out, but only because I did.
At lease i got a bunch of stuff done.
