This is one of those questions that feels stupid to ask: I just bought some PI Am-Fib shoe covers that zip and velcro around the ankle. On which side of the ankle do the zippers go, the inside of the ankle or the outside?

Can't u differentiate using the soles? That's how I did it when I was shopping for those things....

The zippers go on they outside... I asked PI customer service the same thing because they are sometimes very difficult to put on / get the zipper started without contorting your leg like a pretzel. It doesn't seem like the best of designs but once on, they are pretty nice...

It's alot easier to put on with the zipper on the inside but PI Customer Service indicated that the zipper could rub on your crank and cause problems with durability...

That's too bad because I am absolutely unable to put them on with the zippers on the outside. The XL shoe covers just barely fit over my size 47 shoes.

I thought the same thing when I first got mine, I found that sitting in a chair and leaning over it's alot easier to get zippered than sitting on the floor and trying to twist my legs around...
