Appalachian Classic Mountain Bike Race & Festival - June 14th & 15th, Calhoun County Park near Grantsville, WV....
Saturday events:
for the bike-challenged, 9 AM 5k RUN
2 PM - XC TIME TRIAL (cash prizes)
3 PM - Kids Race (non-gender, age appropriate courses for the 12 & under set)
4 PM - BIKE POLO - bring a 4 person team, or contact JRPETSKO@hotmail.com to get ON a team
7 PM - SHORT TRACK RACE (Cash Prizes - Mens Expert, Mens Sport, Womens Open)
8 PM - Free concert by the WeedHawks
(or, mosey down the road a few miles to WV's oldest Drive-In Theater!)
Free primitive camping at one of the BEST stargazing spots in the EAST:thumb:
Sunday events:
9 AM Registration open for 10K, 20K 30K MTB Race ($35, $30 for WVMBA members)
11:40 - Racers Meeting
12 Noon - 12th Annual Appalachian Classic MTB Race is underway - Free post-race meal for racers
3:30 PM - POND JUMP (we supply the bike! it floats!)
4 PM - Awards Ceremony
There will be plenty of prizes, and lots of RAFFLES: we are doing a bit of fund-raising for the 10 month old son of a WV MTBer who has cancer
