From May 28 to June 1st 2008, Montreal will host the World’s Largest Cycling Fest: The Montreal Bike Fest. More than 45,000 cyclists participate to this annual outdoor event. The week-long family-friendly festival includes Operation: Bike-to-Work and other three major events: The Metropolitan Challenge, a single-day event that has cyclists explore an area of greater Montreal; the Un Tour la Nuit, which is a 20-km tour of the city on a Friday night; and Tour de l’île de Montréal, for which city streets are shut down on Sunday June 1st for 50-km tour that draws about 35,000 cyclists.
