Ok, for one part of my tire it isn't fully on and kinda bulges when i pump it up.i have took it off and put it back on a few times, and these are both old. I have done this before with no problem also. The area of where it bulges is right where you put the air in, by the air valve. How can i fix this??
It's an Alex Triple Wall Rim and Snafu Rim Job Tire with a bell inner tube. if that helps somehow
plz answer quick, i need this for school tomarrow. otherwise i have to walk.
thx

Cashius,
Let the air out of the tire. Push the valve stem in as far as you can. See if you can get the bead seated then. Sometimes the thick lump around the base of the valve stem gets in the way and the bead can't get past it to get properly seated. I have run into this. Hope it works for you.

Another tip, deflate the tire, put some dishwashing soap (I use Dawn), a couple drops is usually enough in a spray bottle with water and soap down the rim and the tire. Inflate! The soap helps the bead seat better on the rim! You can usually over-inflate the tire until the bead snaps into place and then take some air out!
From what I can figure from your post (as incoherent as it was), your tyre has bulges?? Also, from the brands of components you mentioned, I can tell that you bought them at a mass-retailer.
Well, the reason why the d@mn things are lumpy is that they are junk! I wouldn't put a k-mart tyre on my bike in a million years! Spend a couple bucks, go to a bike shop, and get some decent tyres!

In all fairness, the kid's a 15-year-old BMXer. I don't know if there's an X-mart ethos for BMX [don't know any BMXers myself], but I think it's fairly safe to say that he's probably not as sophisticated as velosnobs like us.

just to let you know D*Alex, those are top of the line BMX parts, except the bell tube... and i said as if it bulges, or at least i think i did.

Cashius,
I've come across this problem recently too. What's been said about the valves is correct, but another problem is sometimes that the wire are a bit neat to fit to the bead well, and you sometimes find that the tyre sits down into the rim a bit causing a slight bulge.
The only way I've found of dealing with this is that you part inflate the tyre then go round it massaging the wire into place by bending the slightly soft tyre away from you across the rim and gradually increase the air pressure put in.
Hope that helps.
