i was running some cinelli bar cork tape on my drops and i decided it needed to be changed since it was all scratched up an such from taking a fall...i took the tape off and now the adhesive from the tape is stuck on the bars... is there any way to get the adhesive off easily?

does it matter? Just put new tape on right over it. Other than that, goo gone or acetone work fine.

I was able to rub the adhesive off really easily after applying some paint thinner to the bars. Tried rubbing alcohol and a scraper first but that got nowhere

i used my girlfriends high-potency acetone for her nail polish (didn't have anything remotely similar) and it worked like a charm. also took the black decals off the handlebars... not intended, but nice.
