A few of us from the Time Trial Association plan to do the last leg of the Ride2Recovery ride this coming Sunday. See the link below for more details.

Sunday's ride is about 65 miles and will start in the early am in Asheboro, NC and finish at Lowes Motor Speedway in Concord. All the participants will ride a lap around the track before the race. Everyone will be wearing a special jersey just for the event.

They are putting on a special tribute for our Armed Forces prior to the race and I hope our lap will be in conjunction with that.

With all the traffic around the Speedway it could be a zoo getting in and out of the track on our bikes. I've heard we'll have some type of police escort. I live close enough where I can just ride back to the house from the track.

We've raced around the track a good bit on our bikes but not with butts in seats. Hopefully we can outrun the chicken bones.........

I'm thrilled to be able to do just a little something in recognition of our veterans who have given much, much more than their share......

Please remember all those that have served, including many of you. Tis the reason for the season........

A great way to recognize our vets. I live here in Asheboro and have heard no coverage of the event. Lp

I assume they are staying at the Hampton Inn tonight-at least that is where we're leaving from at 8 in the morning. I think they're riding down from Raleigh today.

Glad to see that you are offering your support to such a bunch of riders- but more pleased that they are doing their ride for themselves. I was invalided out of the Marines- but I was lucky in that I had a good instructor on getting my fitness back. Many others I met could not- either due to the type of injury or their mental state.
