Bicycle Mechanics - Unior Tools

So I picked up a couple tools from Unior Tools this week. They're a Slovenian tool manufacturer that covers just about every industry. I bought a pair of chain rivet pliers, a couple spoke wrenches, and a tiny little multi-tool. The pliers are really cool. Basically put the chain link between the pliers and squeeze. Their is a small pin that pushes the rivet out. Requires a firm grip, but you get the hang of it quick.

These spoke wrenches are pretty unique, they're about the length of a pen cap (small). Good grip on the nipple, really hard to strip. I haven't used the multi-tool, but it's supposed to be a spoke wrench and freewheel/cassette remover. Sheldon Brown used to sell the multitool on his site, but it was a little expensive

Used them? I plan on buying more, they're a little less than Park prices and the quality is just as good, if not better.

No, I already have a full complement of Park tools at my disposal.

The only problem I foresee with those tools is finding replacements later. At least with Park I know they'll always be available.

I'm not trying to bag on you saving a few bucks, just saying I'll stick with Park since I make my living with tools and can't afford to be left with no support.

Understandable, but I don't think this company is going away anytime soon, they've been in business since 1919.

That's great, but I've only seen their tools available through a slim few vendors.

Once again, not saying anything about the tool quality. I'm sure at some point I'll try something they make and have a better idea of overall quality.

Yes, the notch is designed for removal. Their torque wrench is on my "want" list as well. I like the handle.

Yes they look very similar. Is Eldi a German company? It is a nice wrench, 15 x 9/16" or 15 x 17". I like the unior pedal wrench w/ bottle opener too.

I don't know. I thought they were, but if you look at Harris Cyclery's tool page, it says that it is made from German steel. They stop short of saying where it is made. My wrench has no indication of where it is made.

IIRC, some of the Eldi tools were made by Unior. I have the Eldi pedal spanner too, and it is my favourite tool.
