i'm wanting some bibs under $50. i'm 5'8" with a waist that hovers around 40" and 27" thighs. the problem is that i think the size for my height will be too long (i had to get the largest size knee warmers for example. they turned out to be leg warmers on me).
any possibility of getting such a thing?

i would get the bigger size then take the straps down a bit (i.e fold them over and inch or two then sew them) I don't know if they make bibs for your dimensions, but if they did i doubt they would also be cheap. I would break out the sewing kit and modify some "tall people" bibs
+1, if you are looking for under $50 bibs, then you are going to have to buy them on sale, and they will be basic, generic bibs. Then you can easily shorten the straps as heckler recommended.
Regardless, I highly recommend bibs. I have gotten some on sale at Nashbar, they have an excellent return policy if you get the wrong size.
