I know nothing about them. My experience has been with Sugoi (Love them), Voler (Love them), and Performance (Like them as well.), and Aerotech (Which have never sent me a bad product). I also have a pair of Assos, and frankly, they aren't any more comfortable than the Aerotech or Performance Brand.

One plus for Nashbar is that they have a liberal return policy. Bibs and shorts are such a personal fit/personal taste item. I have a set of Nashbar Gel Essential bibs, nicely finished, but I find the pad to be a little too thick for me. They did run true to size, and based on the sizing, while I wear XXLs in other brands (such as Performance), the XL Nashbar fit fine/better than the Performance bibs. I would not get the Performance bibs again, as they (the bibs) kind of rub me the wrong way so to speak.....

The Nashbar Essential bibs are on sale right now for $27, that is cheap.

I am also kind of intrigued by the 07 Competitive Cyclist closeout bibs. They are $29 for the 2007 Descente Team CSC Bib. I do not have any experience with them, but can always use another set of bibs.

are there any rules for trying bibs on if one wishes to send them back?

as long as they are not used, I think you can return them

Get the top-of-the-line Volers on discount from Hammer Nutrition for $50. They are way way better than Voler's mid-range stuff.
