Recumbent - Tire Rubbing Brake

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have a Vision R30 Metro CLWB, just bought some new tires, Primo Comets. but now the rear tire rubs against the brake bridge and the bottom of the brake. I have the rear tire pulled as tight as I cant get it, the bike has vertical drops out so there really isn't much room to work with in moving the rear axle. Is it possible to file a little on the drop out, or is there another way that I haven't thought of yet. if I file, where on the the drop out should I file.
With vertical dropouts, there shouldn't be any adjustability. Sounds as if the tires are just too big. Are they 1.5"? 1.35" Comets might work better. What were the previous tires?
previous were Haro's, and yes they are 1.5's. I will call the LBS and see if they will trade
I tried again today to readjust rear, and now it isn't rubbing, not much space between tire and brake bridge though.
