Anyone able identify the the logo in the attached rubbing off this old frame. Basically the letter "E" with elongated points - brazed on - framed by lugwork extensions each side. It is probably a late 1040's/1950' vintage track bike.
The wheelbase was quite long (originally), about 41 cm.
It has very ornate lugwork and has a chromeplate finish all over, at it least it did till I took the brazing torch to it.
The frame number is A14047.
The Style of frame looks very "british" - reminiscence of Claud Butler, especially the back end and has been pinned and brazed on the high stress joints/lugs.
I have been modifying/restoring it with a view to using it on 'Sunday Rec Rides' but have 'dinged' the seat lug.
If anyone has any info to pass on I would be grateful. as it might save a significant cycling artifact from the DUMP.
