I just skimmed the thread about frame wrapping, and had a question...
I wrapped the top tube of my frame today. That's where I lock it at home, on my porch, so it takes a lot of scrapes (also when locked to the "pedestrian corrals" on University Ave here-- big, rusty staple-shaped pipe things that keep people from jumping out in front of a bus...).
I used an old tube and some zip-ties from the hardware store. My question: will the ties, tight against the rubber, wear the paint off underneath? Anyone else done it this way (zip-ties)?
