I was searching ebay and thougth this was really interesting, but i am skeptical if it really would work and allow for proper tension without slipping.

In all seriousness, these are a great idea but I want them to be cheaper. If they were $10 I would buy them but $22 + shipping is kinda steep.

yeah i agree on the price, $12 seems reasonable. I don't need them since i have an aluminum frame, but i figured all the other guys like the IRO, Kilo, and such might like it.

Keep in mind, you need those drop outs with a pinch at the back. With out it these are useless..and I don't think many track bikes have the right drop outs for that...but it seems like a good idea.

Track ends are supposed to look like the ones pictured (with the missing paint) when you actually ride your bike.
So why would you need the extra complexity of additional pieces. Can you see the "gouges" when your track nut is in place?

is it possible to eventually wear through a dropout?

I just run dual BMX tensioners. Makes it super easy to get the wheel centered and the chain perfectly tensioned and stops any slipping. Plus if i remove my wheel a zillion times and wear through it, the things only cost me $4.50.
