Utility Cycling - opus vs devinci

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am looking to buy my first ever real (read: not from canadian tire) bicycle. I will be using it mostly for my 6km commute to work, but also for pleasure. Mostly roads, occasionally gravel. I am thinking of one of the following bikes... Opus urbano http://www.opusbike.com/site_route.php?lang=en or the Devinci st-tropez http://www.devinci.com/11048_an.html
I can't tell anything from looking at the specs or components, as I know nothing!
Which one is a better bike?
Cheers!
I don't know much about bike components but the Devinci is likely to be the better bike. this is based solely on the fact that the Opus is only has a seven speed cassette on the back as opposed to the eight speed cassette on the Devinci.
I would recommend that you test ride both bikes if possible to see what one you are more comfortable on.

Since you'll be commuting, what about this one?

There's also a Norco model:
