I've tried numerous times to open the Politics thread, to no avail. My standard password doesn't work there, "yes" doesn't work, "no" doesn't work, "yes/no" doesn't work, and "open sesame" ditto.

What does it take to browse the Politics and Religion Forum? Have I been banished with no trial or reason? Do I need to bring cookies from Oz? How about the One Ring?

I can't even see Politics & Religion... Can someone invite me?

I'm not sure how much I would participate, since I can't se the discussions and even decide if I want to... But I promise to not be too much of a jerk, and abide by the rules.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to say you need to be invited? I've entered my password about 10 times which is very frustrating. IE on the "Password was incorrect" page, it should add "You need an invitation for this forum".

Oh, and say which forum it is. I clicked a link from another thread, and was confronted by a completely baffling request for password. I couldn't even request access, because I didn't know what forum it was in.

The reason is to keep trolls out. In the past there were problems......

Although I think you can read P&R just type in 'yes' where it asks you to......

Got it. Problem is that firefox put in my normal password automatically. I hit the submit button without reading, of course it didn't like that. The second page, after you've hit submit, says "Password incorrect", so that's where i got really confused.

(no problem with keeping out trolls and I'm not sure I'm happy that I'm in either :-) )
