Does anyone know where I can see the Angus and Mark V geometry? I am looking to grab my first fix, and I am debating between these two completes, and maybe a Kilo TT frame and piece it together, but I can't find the IRO frame geometry on their site.

Also, between these three frames, want to list me some pros and cons?

The geometry figures are part of the build-a-bike thing. Once you pick a frame, you pick a size to see the data.

I just noticed they use "chainstand" instead of "chainstay". Is that a normal term?

Whoa I don't know how I missed that. I was looking at the frame section, but I have built like a million bikes on that site, too. I guess I always just click the size without paying any attention to anything else. Thanks.

So uh, the geo is exactly the same... Would I be paying the extra money just for the stylish threaded fork, then?

They also have some pretty apathetic customer service as well.

the new website allows buyers to see their build before choosing. i think its way better than the old one. my only problem was there is no clear and easy way to simply see the bike you want by its name. they make you choose urban assault, urban commuter, etc... some of us would rather choose by the names we are already familiar with (mark v, angus, etc). but otherwise, i like it.

between the mark v and the pro you're getting a better steel but as far as I can tell the only difference between the pro and the angus is the fork.

But my lbs was selling both frames for the same price so I went with the angus.

Better steel huh? I bet all of you can tell the difference.

Get a Pake. Learn to ride it. Get over a hundred posts on bike forums. Buy a Pista concept. Put risers on it. Sell it for $200 more than you paid for it. Buy an NJS bike and swear you've been a Japanese purist since 2005.

They actually have a great reputation.

Care to elaborate?

I bet you I'll be able to tell the difference in 5 years.

Christ, all I was saying is you get an upgrade from generic cromoly to reynolds 631 for your money. I didn't say a thing about pistas or NJS or arrospok or risers or no-handed backwards-facing half-mike skids in neon green girl jeans.

Stop projecting.

Really? I always have my emails returned within 24 hours, and when my group buy bike never showed up, it only took one phone call for them to check with UPS, find out it had been lost (how you lose a box that big is beyond me), and send me out a new one.

I'm still waiting for them to return my email sent last Monday.

I've had both good and bad customer service from them.

I used to defend their CS here, but after my last experience I felt very let down. My frame shipped three weeks after I was told it would, and they forgot to put the crank I ordered in the box, although it was listed on the customs form, so I paid taxes and duty on it. It took another full week after I called just to send the missing crank out, and two weeks after that to receive it. In the end I got everything, but much later than I should have.
