I will confess that my primary purpose for joining this forum is to sell my bike: I had a cervical spine injury two years ago, surgery was required, followed by much rehab. Just as life was begining to normalize, I was rear-ended in an auto accident. The resulting whiplash was enough to redamage some nerves, which meant another year of pain and several more proceedures. Hopefully I am now at the point where I'll not require any further proceedures. The BAD news is that I'll never again be able to ride a mountain bike!

I've owned my Miyata since 1993, and although it was built for the task, I never used it for anything but trail riding, and that was 90% paved surfaces, so she is still in pristine condition.
After so much time together it isn't easy to let her go---somewhere along the way that bike transitioned from a machine, to a friend.

Would someone please tell me which sub-forum I should use to inquire about what my Miyata is worth in dollars?
Thanks

Firstly to sell it on here, you need an upgraded membership to post in for sale forum
http://www.bikeforums.net/payments.php

then Classic and Vintage may be able to tell you the value of the bike, but it hugely depends on where you live. and don't forget to post pics when you are over there

That is a shame about the Miyata. Have you thought about going to a recumbent?

Anyway, 04jtb is pointing you in the right direction. Good luck!
