I have a weeks vacation coming up in June and I'm dying to hit trail. I'm thinking of taking a road trip so I don't have to bother with flying and renting a bike, so that somewhat limits how far I want to travel. I'm willing to try about 8 to 10 hours (from St. Louis), but what recommendations does everyone have? I'm looking for a place with several trails and camping options.
The ideas I have had so far is WV (New River Gorge was recommended), VA, or maybe stay in MO/IL and ride some of the trails I don't get to spend much time on here.
