As some of you know,l I am not much of a mechanic, and most of my work goes to my LBS for repairs.
Anyway, I wanted you to know that I am making just a tiny bit of progress.
I got the new bike, and it came in a box full of stuff unassembled, and I managed to get it assembled and adjusted all by my lonesome, including mounting the computer, getting the seat and bars and stem all together and mounted, even adjusting the front brake, getting pedals on, getting spindle through front axle, putting on water bottle holders and a frame pump, wedge, etc.
My next step will be to adjust the front and rear der, which rubs ever so slightly and is not doing lowest gearing properly. Now, adjusting the der's is going to be an entirely new experience, as I haven't a clue what all those adjusting screws actually do!
But, I have a book or two, and perhaps I will be able to figure it out.
The trainer makes a pretty nice bike stand for most purposes, and that is what I am using.
Thanks for reading.
