oops that is supposed to say " i am begining to get the feeling"
Does it matter? Keep it up. As an added bonus interacting with people outside your peer group is always enlightening.
P.S. I'm 26
i started road cycling when I was 13yrs old, when I got my first roadie.. And got into MTBing at age 15.
But I really got hooked into cycling when I was 4-5yrs old, got my first BMX then, and had my first seriuos crash when I was 6.
Don't worry, and yes, I was the youngest of the group.. my riding buddies were 25yrs above.. I struggled to keep up. Just remember, you have a lighter body, faster legs, and don't have to worry about blood sugar, high blood pressure.... :)
Just keep riding..
BTW, I'm 24.... ;)
I'm 15 and planning on purchasing a road bike soon.

I'm 57 and have to ride with a bunch of young guys that I can't even begin to keep up with! :D
It's all relative and age is a state of mind. Keep at it. You should know that at 15 your muscles are not fully developed and even an 18 year old is much stronger and has a lot more tolerance for muscle fatigue. So keep at it and you will slowly gain the strength and tolerance to not only keep up with the old guys, but lead them.
Just don't rush it as you can really hurt yourself.

Go to your LBS and see if you can put up a flyer organizing a youth ride every weekend. Most bike shops are cool with this, and it'll help you meet and ride with people your age. If you get enough people regularly interested, you can even start organizing weekday group rides.

I am 64, and I bet you can keep up with me!
It is 56F and I gotta go for a ride, even though the trails ARE a bit snowy!
Bye!
Riding with people older and faster than you will make you wiser and faster in return! What are you whining about?!? LoL...I'm 16 by the way...

what does your age and the age of others have to do with your performance?
If you're in your teens...the majority of slightly older people are most likely faster and more experienced than you (I know that's always not the case, of course). You can ride with them to learn and push yourself harder. People "race up" for this exact reason.
for the record, i participated as one of the officials in a race a few months ago.
In the below25 age group, surprisingly a 15 yr old kid with a ***-mart bike registered.. Some of the riders had a no so good smile when they saw this kid..
After the event, the kid placed 4th. beating all of them... Now, if only he had a better bike.. He would have performed better!!

Try the following link for road (and mountain) cyclists in your area. I think there should be a few close to your age.

My brother is 14 and he rides and races in the summer time. There are other kids in his age group out here that win the cat 4 races at will. There are plenty of kids that ride. You should look for a junior program in your area.
Hey, I am 14.. I do 63, and 100 mile chairty rides locally such as Sea Gull Century, is prolly the biggest one I attend.. Then each year I do a ride for AIDs vaccine which is a cross state almost like touring type ride. Its fun and I like it. Out of all the rides i've been to I haven't seen anyone my age..
I became a roadie when I was 18. I am 19 now...
Hey, I wish I started at age 14, I would be
competing .....Lance by now- ok maybe not him
but hey think about what a rider you are going to be in
say 5,6,8,10 years.- You could be a pro !!!!
Keep riding !!!

I am now 24 and I just bought my road bike about six months ago. After doing just one large ride I have made all the members at my shop's team very nervous. I think if I can train some thins spring, I should be able to give them a good run for thier money.

You most likely won't get your 'Mans strength' until you are around 22~24 depending on diet and training. I was 23 before I got 'strong'. As mentioned previously, its great to train with stronger people and watch the gap slowly narrow. :)
