We didn't plan to, it just turned out that way. Except for the 34 mile City of Angels ride on May 4, we've ridden only a handful of times since the end of March, usually only 20 miles or less. So we thought we'd just take a nice easy 20-miler today just to get out of the house.

Well, when your odometer reads 25 miles AWAY from home, that should be your first clue that the ride will be a lot longer than 20 miles.

The odometer turned over to 52.00 just a few doors away from our house.

My quads are quivering.

But the leftover birthday cake and ice cream was a nice reward. :)

You know you've got the fever when you've ridden farther than you'd planned before you realize you've ridden farther than you planned. :commute::roflmao2::lol:

Sometimes those are the best rides: not paying attention, yakking with a buddy.

Quivering quads... yeah, you've just got to like that!
Good job... amazing what a good, new bike can do to inspire you, eh?

Imagine if the original plan was to do a 50 mile ride! Ride x 2 + n = ouch!!!
