Hey guys I've done several olympic distance tri's with my '05 Lemond Road bike, but now i'm looking to get an actual tri-specific bike. This is mainly because at my last tri, i lost to the third place guy by less than 10 seconds, which ticked me off..Second of all, I got an offer for a 2005 Cervelo P3 SL with a Selle Italia saddle for $600. It's slightly used, about 200 miles in total on it, and it fits me just fine. My question is: Is it a good deal or not?
These are the specs
-55cm frame, black anodized finish
-Wolf carbon aero fork, uncut steerer
-Cervelo carbon seatpost,
-Easton Vista wheels, 700c
-fully adjustable Visiontech aero bar set-up
-90mm Vision Tech stem
-Vision Tech base bar, 42cm width
-Vision Tech race bend aerobars, uncut, 390mm length
-Shimano Dura-Ace TT bar end shifters
-FSA Gossamer Mega-Exo crankset, 53-39
-Shimano 10 speed cassette, 12-25
-Shimano 105 F/R derailleurs
-Cervelo dual pivot brakes
-Selle San Marco Regal saddle
-Vittoria Diamante Pro Light tires
Thanks in advance for any advice and tips!

Is it a good deal? No...it's a freakin' steal. I can't believe anyone would sell it for $600.

Yeah, that's a very good deal. Check the wheel size (I seem to recall that many of the original P3s rolled 650c wheels in many larger sizes), but other than that $600 for a p3 that fits is a steal!

Brilliant deal if it fits!

Re wheelsize, it will be 700c. I have a pdf copy of the 2005 Cervelo catalogue and the P3 SL was 700c from 53cm up.

Really can't go wrong. Maybe not as bling as newer carbon frames, but going on the frames aspect ratios it still ranks very high - higher than many of the newer generic carbon models floating about!

*I'm biased though since I recently built up and race a NOS P3 Al model :thumb:

since this bike seems priced too good to be true, what would you guys think the price for the bike should be?
