Introductions - New to the site but not biking

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi, seems like a cool site.I've been biking for about 25 years, everything from double century rides as a kid to now riding my 10 year old GT LTS 3000 DS w/a 4-stroke gas motor mounted over the rear wheel.
I use my bikes as my sole mode of transportation.
Between my family and work I don't find any time to simply ride my bikes for pleasure right now :(
Hopefully once all the kids are in school I will :)
bikes owned at this time:

Hello herme joe, you did double centuries as a kid  ? Awesome....It's good to hear that you are using the bikes as your transportation, and hopefully, you will soon be able to ride for pleasure again.
Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !

Welcome Joe.
Have you considered bicycle commuting as a way to get in more riding time?

When I was about 13 my father and I participated in a ride from A2 to ST. Ignace MI. Once there I joined in on two separate century rides and one double century before loading into the vans for the ride home.
Overall that trip was the most fun I ever had with my father or on a bicycle.
I just don't want to give the impression that I rode single or double century rides all the time.

Still, that's pretty awesome for someone who's 13 years old  .
Have you done any centuries since?
