Xootr Swift folding bike purchased in November 2006. This bike is in near-new condition. The Swift design folds in the middle, making it perfect for commuters and apartment dwellers. Easily fits in most cars. The design of the Xootr Swift makes for a much stiffer bike than most folding bikes, with a ride similar to a full size road bike. This bike has been customized by Peter Reich, the designer of the Swift folding bicycle. Upgrades include an SRAM DirectDrive rear hub to provide 27 speeds. Also included are Schwalbe Marathon tires, front & rear fenders, wireless computer, water bottle holder and handlebar ends. Rear rack and pack available as an additional option to interested buyers.
This is a great bike, but I've now got a Bike Friday SatRDay folding recumbent, so this one has to go. Very few miles on this bike - probably less than 100.
Price: $850 plus shipping. For expedited shipping, the buyer may choose to have the bike packed at a Boston area bike shop such as Wheelworks (at the buyer's expense).
For buyers who are able to pick up the bike and pay in person, the price is $795 (cash only).
