I am excited (and saddened) to announce an amazing event that I would love to have you participate in. Some good friends and I have organized a new charity bike ride to support Love146 (formerly Justice for Children International). Love146 is an organization that is fighting to end child sex slavery and exploitation. This is a disgusting violation of human lives, focusing mainly on innocent little girls. The U.N. believes that 1.2 million children are trafficked each year…that’s more than two per minute! The total market value of illicit human trafficking is estimated at $32 billion/yr making it one of the most lucrative crimes in the world, second only to the sale of drugs.
This problem has deeply touched the hearts of me and my fellow organizers to the point that we could no longer sit idly by. So…we decided to put together the first annual Ride 4 Love. Please join us in fighting this horrendous violation of humanity.
RIDE DETAILS
Cause: Love146, fighting to end child sex slavery and exploitation
Date: Saturday June 28th
Location: The rural roads of Ballston Spa NY (in the Albany region)
Available distances: 10, 25, 50 and 75 miles
Registration cost: Only $25
Minimum fundraising to ride: $146
Start times: 75 miles - Registration starts at 7:00 am, ride starts at 7:30 am
50 miles - Registration starts at 7:15 am, ride starts at 8:00 am
25 miles - Registration starts at 7:30 am, ride starts at 8:30 am
10 miles - Registration starts at 8:00 am, ride starts at 9:00 am
