I got the Canon 470 photo printer. It was like $30 after the rebates and the mail ins. What I wanted to know is, for those of you with these kinds of photo printers, how is the quality? Is it costly to maintain? Is there one you would recommend over this one, because I'm thinking about giving this one to my brother for Christmas along with my old digital camera and upgrading to a more compact, better photo printer.

Just wondering.

hmm...we have the s9000 and I friggin love it, but you said "compact" so toss that out the window.
