Question: Do Shimano 105 hubs (36 hole) have a high enough flange for a 4 cross spoke pattern? I'm getting a front and rear wheel with Alex Adventurer rims.
I'm having a wheel set built for loaded touring and the builder suggested the 4 cross pattern.
I know that the more crosses a wheel has, the higher the torque it can withstand. So, a 4 cross pattern should be good for disc brakes (which I do not have) as well as for hard pedaling a load up hill.
So, will these hubs work? Either way, should I just get a 3 cross pattern?
Thanks.
