Introductions - deep in the heart of Texas

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Well I just found this forum. I ride a DiamondBack Sorrento with city tires to supplement my jogging(16 years of it). I had a Giant road bike but it was just too nice to park anywhere unattended, also it didn't work very well on the sidewalk. So now I just ride and don't worry about it. We've also got a specialized crossroads hooked up to one of those magnetic machines in the exercise room. Drop a line, say howdy.
Hey Diamondback!!! Welcome to Bikeforums!! I used to ride a Sorrento, but it got stolen:( It was a pretty nice bike.

All my bikes got stolen when I was growing up so I know the feeling. I'd chain em too a tree and they'd be gone. I tested 4 bikes before buying the sorrento, it had better, smoother components than bikes that cost $50 more than it.

Mine got stolen right out of my bike yard. It was in the sun room, where the door was locked. The dudes ripped the screen open just to get in and take my bike. They must have really wanted it. What year is your Sorrento?

Sounds like you live in my old neighborhood (phoenix), the neighbors would jump a 6 foot chain link fence come onto the enclosed back porch take the bike and put it over the fence, one day I loaned them my frisbee, they shot it full of holes and left it in the street. Did I mention we'd be home awake inside.
I bought the sorrento not quite a year ago and i'm betting it was on the showroom floor for a year so that would make it a 99-00.

Hey diamondback, Welcome!
That's Gus' favorite hat. I bet he's had it for years. Wonder what it looks like under his helmet? :D

Hi Diamondback, welcome to BFC! That's the trouble with having a good bike, you're always worried about it. Makes a good case for having serveral bikes!
Welcome! Don't be afraid to post! :D
