I have read through an article about the SPV feature, seems like very advance but just wonder would it be really that good when come to real situation. Would like your comments and advise because I am targeted at the Black Super SPV for XC purpose. Thanks.

I've ridden several bikes with the new shock technology. The SPV, the Inertia, the ....etc.

It works amasingly well. I was a bit of a skeptic myself, but the stuff I've tried was impressive.

Thanks for your feedback. Do you think is it worth to paid extra for the SPV feature ?

Depends on your type of riding. For me, probably not. I'm not a racer, I just like to go out and ride. I try to leave my watch in the car and DO NOT have a computer on my bike. Now, if I were into racing, then SPV would be a definate!

I am a racer, SPV does not float well with me.

I have blown out three SPV rear shocks already, they do not fit my riding style at all.

You're talking slalom or moutain cross right?

I see SPV shocks as being targeted at XC riders. Not anyone who is jumping or dropping. Am I correct in this assumption?

I won't touch a Manipoo at all.

Here are some info about SPV that I have found in the internet :

1) With SPV, small bump is not effective.
2) You will have better or more effective uphill riding.
3) Fox is having the ProPedal which is similar with SPV. Seem like it is a good technology otherwise Fox will not adapt the similar design..

Any comments ? Any new design coming out from Rock Shock and Marzocchi ? Please share with us. Thanks.
