Well..

This weekend I'll be doing a local Ride to support Urban Clean up in the City. We have 4 loop rides totaling 53 miles in all. I think I'm up for it, or at least I think I am. It is a ride that is sponsored by our Shop and when the sign up closed out I was up in the Hospital helping to tend to me new Grand Son, so I missed it.

Yesterday the Owner of the Shop stated that he wanted me on the ride, waived some fees for the ride and found the right size Jersey for me. I thnk it was all planned! He needed a riding mechanic and "I" was available! LOL!

Should be fun. The Manager is pulling the BOB Trailer with the tools and such and I'll be riding clean-up with him.

Sometimes life just wants us to do something I guess.

Bet it'll be awesome.

Have fun!

Good Ride!

My Boss had asked me to go on this. I saw why on Sunday. Way too many bikes needed help before, during, and after the ride. I volunteered to ride the "SWEEP" position which is what I do like to do. We try and encourage the folks at the back to keep up, and I get to evaluate folks in their riding position and their technique in shifting. I highly recommended to a few folks to take our free Shifting Clinic the next time it is offered.

The weather was a bit cool and rain threatened but never fell which is perfect. The first Loop had the City Mayor and his Wife riding with us. Great folks and supporters of bike on City streets. Being the former Chief of Police, he's been a big supporter of Police on Bikes also.

My Gary Fisher Paragon did fine throughout the day. I had swapped out some Street tires and was glad I did. Felt like a different bike, but miss the ride and the stability of the wide off-road tires that I normally ride with.

We took a few group shots, and when I get the files I'll upload them here.

Total for the day certified by GPS was 42 miles. One loop was dropped due to time constraints.
