Bicycle Mechanics - Tool Question-->>

Trying to save some scratch for our upcoming tour but also wanting to get some tools for repairs, adjustments and general upkeep...

we looked into a Park tool kit but the price was a bit steep so we went with Nasbar's tool kit for like $48.00.

Of course being the dipsh*t I can be I ordered it and NOW I am asking you folks if it's any good. :D

So-assuming it doesn't compare to Park just like K-Mart tools don't compare to Snap-On-was it a good purchase or will I just be looking to replace it soon with Park?

Is that the Lifu brand tool kit?

My buddy has one and for a home mechanic it isn't really all that bad. It's definately not Park or Pedro's quality tools, but they'll do. Plus, it's all in one case, so you can throw it in the truck when you go riding.

I'm not sure... at Nasbar it just says "Nasbar Tool Kit".

i bought that kit a very very long time ago...they are Lifu tools. its an ok tool kit, but i have broken a few of the tools, and dont use the spoke wrench unless you want stripped nipples, unless they redesigned it. i broke the pin spanner and the lockring wrench. they were both pretty crappy. i still use a lot of the other tools that i havent replaced with better ones. its worth the money in my opinion

My riding buddy bought the set. If you don't wrench for a living, that set will do fine. For constant daily work, you'll need to buy a Park or Pedro set.
