Bicycle Mechanics - Bottom bracket stuck.

I have a project bike, "note, bikes only a year old, junk supercycle" lol anyway I got the special tool to remove the bottom bracket guts, however, it apears to be ludged in there very good, whatshould I do to take it out, also, I kept riding that bike till the guts where messed very bad lol, broke a week after I bought the bike, so I wasnt to please, thats where a big hate for supercycle came in.

Do you know which way to turn it to remove it? You may be turning CCW (right-hand/normal) vs. the CW (left-hand) needed to remove the drive side cup.

I tried both ways, that one first, but it's in there pretty good

You want to be sure the tool does not slip and round off the flats on the cup. I clamped a wooden block with a C clamp over the tool and then took a wooden mallet to turn the cup. Previously soaked Liquid Wrench between the threads.

But first, make sure of the threads are left or right hand.

yeah that slipping thing, it almost happened, but clamping i a good idea, I shall do so.

Well, it moves now but only half a turn, both sides are doing that, I almost smashed it with a hammer but I figure i'd try once more before I cut the bike into pieces lol

Try plenty of penetrating oil (like Liquid Wrench).

If you have any threads showing on the non-drive side, put a pipe wrench to it. It's a destructive method, but if you can't get it out any other way, that's the deal. Then, remove the spindle. The drive side can then be removed by placing it in a vise. It would be easiest to have the bike stripped to do this. The drive side cup has flats on it - lock those in the vise. Then you turn the frame to get it out. This gives you alot of leverage, although it can be unweildy. (Same foolproof method for getting stuck freewheels off a rear wheel.) I've done it many times when I need to remove a frozen BB.
This only applies if the frame is really worth it.

Grab a long pipe and put it over the end of your wrench for extra torque.

Do not give up. If it moved at all, it will finally come all the way out.

i'ts a big heavy dutie duel suspention mountain bike, I call it demolition bike, it goes through alot, so it is worth it, I beat that bike good, so i'll try againg after work.

If its an english bottom bracket (most bikes) the non-drive side cup is standard threaded, and the drive side cup is reverse threaded. Use lots of penetrating oil and try again with a regular wrench. If not break out the trusty 4ft cheater bar and break that sucker loose
