Do you ever wear your cycling jerseys, shorts or shoes out and about, when you're not riding?

My Shimano SPD shoes are sooooo comfortable, but even though the cleats are reccessed, they do tend to scrape the ground a bit :(. And I went out Christmas shopping yesterday in my new Ben & Jerry's 'team' jersey.

I guess you're probably not going to wear bib shorts to the pub, or Sidi road shoes to work, but things like MTB shoes and shorts, and pretty much any jersey or jacket could be considered pratical (ish) day-to-day clothing.

No. Although, I am a big fan of Hanes white cotton T-shirts and track pants.

I think that regular shoes manufactured to resemble bike shoes are gaining popularity in Europe.

i used to have this cannondale shirt that i loved.... it was a T with a close-cropped V-neck... it fit perfectly, looked great, and was oh-so cool on those 100 degree summer days.

i have to say, jerseys off the bike are stupid.

Generally speaking, as comfortable and functional as they are on the bike, I find wearing any piece of cycling wear off the bike to be somewhat uncomfortable.

I would not mind a wicking jersey at work when it is hot. In fact my plain white jersey , maybe I have worn to work.? Found the three back pockets actually sort of functional come to think of it. Can think of jerseys I would be proud to wear but have not. But then, I have bought some wicking t shirts I wear under jerseys on cold days and that could be used as wicking clothes at work instead of jerseys...
WOuld not mind wearing my California Republic jersey about.. Can't imagine feeling comfortable in cycling shorts without a bike about... My road shoes are not recessed. My time shoes do look pretty cool however....

I have a wind shirt that I use from time to time off the bike if I'm out in the cold.

Sorry, but I don't own any cycling jerseys, shorts or shoes. I wear my regular street clothes when I ride my bike.

Just remeber Dupont's Law of Lycra: How cool you look in you bike clothes is inversely proportional to the distance from your bike.

Seems like I have seen people wearing lycra bike jerseys at the mall..Looks a little out of place..Jerseys would be about the extent of what might not be classified as sorta goofy.
But then again my bike socks with beer steins on them, I might try and get away with. People do wear shorter socks now with tennis shoes. Europeans do not wear any socks at all.
Sometimes people do get stuck without street clothes after a ride while transporting a bike back on the car. I always have a pair of soccer shorts to put over bike gear should I get stuck out in a public..Think good idea ( to show signs of bike clothes) since sorta explains the reason you might stink.

Wasn't me, I got it from my LBS. I'm pretty sure I only wore it the other day because it was new and I wanted to wear, I doubt I'll make a habit of it.

I go to the gym 2 to 3 times a week in my Lycra bike shorts and a loose fitting plain color mtb jersey on leg days.Just because I do a 1/2 hour of spinning when I am done.

But you won't catch me in the mall dressed like that!

Never done it. My friends joke on me enough when I wear them to go for a ride!

Wearing bike shorts off the bike? Depends on how embarassed you get when you get an erection walking in the mall.

The only cycling apparel I wear off the bike is my bike socks. I have a pretty colorful collection and I like that they kinda add a wacky element to my attire. Especially some of the socks I get from races 'n such. They look really cool with capri pants and ya get the nods from fellow cyclists.

But then I'm a girrrrrrl.
Maybe guys would get too much of a ribbing from other men if they wore theirs.
