When I try to shift down (ie, a larger gear on the rear cassette), instead of shifting in the rear, the front derailer moves all the way over to the smallest gear. I have an 07 Specialized Sequoia Elite (Tiagra shifters).
I have no idea how this happened, or, unfortunately, when it happened. The last time I rode the bike it was fine. In between now and then, all that's happened is the bike was driven a few hours home and my brother rode it for a few miles a few times (he's the one who experienced this).
I'm planning to take the bike into the shop tomorrow, but if this is something trivial I'd like to just fix it myself instead.
