No no.. This is a rental apartment, in Somerville, MA - Close to the local transit system called the T. They had an openhouse and everyone there was filling out an application.
use the $100 of gas to bribe/threaten the leasing agent.

Could go in the agent's tank; could be a molotov cocktail...

How can I be back if I was never really here?
The rumors of my existence have been highly exaggerated.

I'm a small town boy (well, small town old man), so bear with me. I have never heard of applying for an apartment. Someone advertises an apartment for rent. You go look at it and, if you like it and can afford it, you sign a lease. Why would you have to apply for an apartment?
Why would you have to apply for an apartment?More demand than supply, would be my guess. :)

X has it right. The neighborhood is very popular and is close to Tufts university. Its also close to the trains and hence pretty good access to other universities and the city. On top of that apartments are tough to find especially when you are looking for a one bedroom apartment with no interest in getting a roommate whatsoever.

Around Tufts you have to apply to rent a barstool. Good luck.

Lot of my athletic and other trivial persuasion such as work, need some amount of commuting. For example you cant really carry a set of golf clubs or skis while on your bike. Although I should bike to work more often, if only I can wake up early and remember to not being my laptop home.
I would NEVER get a motorized bicycle. That two stroke monster looks like a face plant waiting to happen :p..
