It is just a sprint. The pressure is on though - we've got gold the last 5 or 6 years. It isn't really fun anymore, just stressful now... Doing a sprint tri later in the summer that I'm looking forward to. I'd like to do an Olympic distance, but I hate to run, and had no motivation to train over the winter, so it will have to wait.

My reading comprehension stopped midway into the second sentencec and then I read the other words.

Anyway I got roped into watching that sometime with one of my friendly girls. Not looking forward to it. At all. Although I am a secret Charlotte fan.

I should say that my Sunday run just spiced up a bit as one of my buddies threw down the gauntlet and I am going full blast, knees be damned. I am a little unsure though as to how my form is going to be as I have barely put in 20 miles all year. Whatever 5K = 20-24 mins of pure pain.

The Sunday bike ride got interesting for other reasons. Should be interesting.

Today: Hung out at home with the baby. Spent an hour at the park, which resulted in a three-hour nap.

Tomorrow: Breakfast with my mom...and then a trip to the outdoor pool! It just got remodeled! I'll be doing other stuff, running errands and whatnot...but the highlight of the day will be spending some time in the super-awesome swimming pool with the baby. She has an inflatable floaty boat now.

Sunday: It's my Monday. First day back at work. Hopefully a mellow one.

p0cket penguins: Good luck on the MCAT!

Today - lotsa physical activity. Prepping a part of the side yard for a little bricked cafe nook...got interrupted by my daughter who had the nerve to ask me to help move her stuff out to her apartment
... moved about a ton of mulch - after I rode about 15 miles with a few hills.

Tomorrow - weather permitting - lead Scouts on the first ride of the sequence for earning their merit badges. move more furniture around ... finish the leveling, sanding cement laying and the bricking... move more mulch

Sunday - I'll be ready for the day of rest.

Next weekend comes Le Cirque (http://www.cirqueducyclisme.com/) :D

Tramping is the NZ equivalent of hiking (walking up hills with a heavy pack, done of your own free will, for fun). more or less.:D This weekend's one is easy, a couple of low passes to go over and some walking up a river valley. No river crossings or probably alpine tops travel. Oh and the hut should be nice too - it'll probably have a fire.:D

Oh noes.. You gettings the playa hata degree? (I thought you were a prof already?)

It's a long story but I was invited to leave grad school early to teach and, quite frankly, I couldn't pass up the paycheck. I cannot become tenure-track until I finish my dissertation and become a true playa hatr. I probably won't finish this summer but I'd like to get close.

I'll likely be out in Battleground, helping a friend get a tree out from in front of her Garage Door so she can get her car out. I get to play with a chainsaw and ax! WOOHOO. She lost 15 trees, and one that's perilously close to coming down on her house as well. We'll be cutting and pulling that one down with a truck and a long line pulling it to keep it off the house. That's going to be a scary job, by the way.........:twitchy:
