Has anyone ridden on the new "Lance" shimano "Look" style pedals - I wanted to shave some weight from my current beat up set of looks and was interested - thanks! Also is there any difference between the 7750's and 7800's besides model #'s?
I train on the Ultegras and race on the Dura Ace.
Fantastic pedal, cleat wears quit quickly. No real world difference between the two except weight, maybe durability (haven't got there yet).

Wish I could, but I'm needing more float I think. (Bad/old knees) I'm pretty much stuck with the speedplays. They are a good pedal to be stuck with though....

I ride the ultegra version, great pedal. I've had mine since may and the cleats are still going strong. I have crashed twice and the right pedal is all scraped to hell but it still works perfectly. I highly recommend them.

Thanks, seems like Shiman finally is getting it right...thanks to Lance. And, I'm one step closer to being a full Lance wannabe!

Yeah, they aren't in the same league as Speedplays when it comes to float. If you need or are used to that float, you may be dissapointed (although there is a bit).

Why not ride Looks instead of "Look wannabes"??
The CX6 Look is very nice and has an adjuster to move the pedal out from the crank if you have a wider foot or like your cleat set up at an angle to keep your heel from hitting the chain stay. About 300 grams in weight. And has a float adjuster.

Price ($139 for the 7800's on ebay), weight (a little lighter by about 30 grams), and no use for the float adjustment (as the natural cleat float has always been enough for me)...but the cx6's look pretty sharp.

I've been using 7750 since December of last year - the cleats are fine, I've been using the same pair. (Earlier designs had occasional problems with cleat pre-maturely breaking) - but the redesigned and freely replaced 2nd gen cleats are great.
As for the...
um - they're not "Lance" pedals - SPD-SL is SPD-SL... some people tend to over idealize their idol and believe he's involved in everything just because shimano happens to be a sponsor...
