Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - ways to stretch out leg bands on csc team bibs?

i just got these things in xl. they fit loose (but close... they're not as tight as my lifting suit) everywhere but my lower quads. is there anyway to stretch out the elastic on the leg bands without breaking it? is this normal for shorts? they seem to think i should have a 40" waist with no legs at all (my legs aren't even strong for a guy 50lbs lighter than me let alone someone my size.)

hell, is there anyway to stretch this crap out at all? they make my lower legs numb.

I have a similar issue with my Performance Ultra's. Fit great through the upper, waist, and seat, then the legs are pretty tight at the opening because they're not designed for people with tree-trunk quads. I haven't found any way to stretch things w/o ruining the garment, so I just deal with them being a bit tighter than I'd prefer.

They are a little tight at the cuffs of the leg to help prevent slideup and bunching. Exacty how tight are we talking here? They are snug, or they leave divots in your legs?

they make the surrounding area slightly numb. i haven't worn them for more than a couple minutes though.

He's saying his legs go numb, so I'm thinking that they're way too tight in the legs. Since he compared it to the fit on a blast suit, I'm guessing competitive weightlifter, which could mean disproportionatly large quads from squat and DL. Makes it tough to buy pants off-the-rack because if the waist fits then the quads are too tight. If they fit in the quads, you look like you're wearing clown pants because the waist is 6" too big.

All I can suggest then is return and try the next size up.

That or go to Knicks.

Boure does custom. Boure Pro is what I wear 99% of the time.

it looks like they no longer have these on sell, so i'll have to return them instead of exchanging them. if i wear them REALLY low, just above they knee, they're alright.

think i should keep them?

I'd return them and go with the Boure's above with a custom quad size.

I have the same problem with all the pants/boxers/shorts i buy. waist fits and length is good but quads are just too tight, its the reason I wear a 40" in waist line instead of a 38". And something is telling me now that i am getting into biking the problem wont be going away any time soon, but hey i'll manage :)

you know what's funny. my lifting suit is TIGHT, but not squishingly so everywhere but the leg bands. and all these bibs are too loose everywhere but the leg bands.

It sounds like I should have ordered the Boure's instead of the Hammers.
