Uh oh, I hope this isn't a huge problem, because I'm buying a new bike Monday (NOS) and this is one of my considerations. What size steerer tube do you have? Any other wierd sizes that would affect upgrading?

Steerer tube is 1 1/8. Seat post tube outer diameter is 34.9mm (1 3/8). The problem is my seat collar is 33mm. I've emailed trek. Hope they can help.

You could try a Salsa Clamp. Won't be cheap, but you said lightweight! Lightweight=expensive!
