Foo - VIck... Mike (Michael) Vick....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I say Mike should be allowed to keep his job with the FAlcons.
What does everyone else say?
I say:
"Vick! Mike! Mike Vick! Mike! Mike Vick![etc.]"

Mike should have stayed in college. He would have taken VT to the big game, and still have a bright and wealthy career in front of him.

I have always struggled with this one. Not necessarily with Vick, but with the idea of leaving early for the pros. It affected me personally when Herschel Walker left for Trump's new pro football league and since then I have felt that college atheletes should finish school. BUT, who am I to say I wouldn't be attracted to the immediate financial rewards. I can imagine that the temptation is overwhelming not to mention the concern of a career ending injury. When you consider that the NBA and MLB draft players right out of high school, why are football players expected to be any different. There is much more to be considered for both sides of this debate but for the sake of brevity I'll cease.

Michael Vick is the most exciting player in the NFL in a long, long time. He has more talent in his little finger than most pro QBs have in their entire bodies. He is the Falcons. Period.
In the spirit of full disclosure, I am a Denver Broncos fan and don't particularly like the Falcons as a team, but Vick is something special.

He is an exciting player but not the best QB in the league. Would you rather have an exciting player or a championship? Tom Brady (New England) isn't flashy but he's got a ring and hopefully will get another one this year. It's all about winning. GO PATRIOTS!!
I would rather have Peyton Manning anyday.
I agree that he is the most exciting player in the league, when he's healthy. His biggest lesson still to learn is that this is the NFL and the defensive player are waaay quicker and even though he has 4.2 speed they can/will put a hit on him.
He need to stay in the pocket and let his cannon of an arm loosen up the D.
I grew up in So Cal, so I was a long time Rams fan but then that greedy beeeach Frontiere moved them to midwest I diswoned them. I then made the Falcons my team becaue I could NEVER root for the 49'ers and the Saints were just the Saints... Too bad Jamal Anderson went down or the Falcons could really have something going with Vick on the team now. Oh to dream.......

What the team owners want is a BIS guy, that is Butts In Seats. Vick is the premier BIS guy in the league. Everyone, I should say everyone that is a real football fan, wants to watch him play.
As to the best? Tom Brady? Not by a long shot. Manning is better than Brady by a long shot, but McNair is the best playing today. That he has injury problems and is playing with not the greatest cast of supporting players keeps him out of the Super Bowl.
Years ago, John Elway was far and away the best QB in the league. He took what were otherwise 8 and 8 teams and carried them on his back to the play offs year after year. He just couldn't do it all until the defense was playing at championship caliber, he had excellent, all-pro receivers and tight-end, an all-universe running back, and a coach who knew what was required to win it all.

You can have him. How many big games has Peyton Manning won in his life. Even his college team didn't win the national championship until after he left.

Hate to say it but he isn't the team. He is just a player.
He will win a Superbowl. He hasn't been playing that long. Very few quarterback win a Superbowl in there first 5 years.
