I bought I bike with no chain, I have no idea how many links to take off the chain I bought to make it the correct length. Is there a certain angle the deraileur should be at on the biggest gears or what?
Thanks a bunch,
slawdawg:)

I dont mean to sound like a jerk or anything, but why does everyone always say "use the search function" and then proceed to tell the answer?

Put the chain around the biggest front gear and the biggest back gear. add two links to that length (if youre running sram add 1 link plus the powerlink). If you want to be safe, you can add three, but the chain may skip in the higher gears, and you may need to cut it again. (sram powerlink is one time use only so you choose)
