Assemble this damn Chorus shift lever... (after the Tunitas incident I had to replace the lever body... much cheaper than buying a new assembly).

Anyway, there was a million little springs and ratchets and grease, etc...

I don't know how the factory workers do it man.

They must be like Italian clock makers. A million little Geppettos or something.

:wtf:

Anyway that sucked!

Didn't you buy a new Record Lever set?
Well, you can slowly and carefully disassemble the Record lever so you will know how it's supposed to be put back together. The Chorus lever should be the same inside, just different materials.
Isn't that a great idea? :D

The new Record set is going on my single bike. The Chorus levers that were on there before got moved to the tandem. While the Chorus set was on my single, I got into a little accident on Tunitas and cracked the lever body (on the right shifter). I bought the lever body for like $55 from Branford Bike to swap over.

That's why the Tandem had one Chorus and one Veloce lever on it last week, and not both Chorus.

Yesterday I watched Jerry at Shaw's Cycle's disassemble, clean and put back together the right lever on my Pedal Force bike in about 20 minutes. On display they have a Centaur lever on a stick with all the doo dads inside hanging on a wire.
