Hey, I'm a 6'1" 260lbs rider & I'm currently in the process of getting a new wheelset. I've narrowed it down to Mavic Equipes or Elites. Any experience with either? Which do ya'll think would be the best option? My only concerns are lateral stiffness & durability. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I am looking into some new wheels. If you don't mind. Where did you find them?

I'm 6'3" and 255lbs. Own Ksyrium Elite's. Lateral stiffness was fine--no problems. However, I usually used them for my "event" wheels--they are noticeably lighter than my Open Pro's--so I didn't ride them extensively. At first, they were fine. But slowly, they began going out of true. I also broke two spokes on the rear wheel. I fixed them up and eventually found a nice balance point where the spokes were evenly tensioned at a high point--very little going out of true. For the past 3 weeks, my Open Pro's have been out of commission, so I've been riding exclusively on the Elite's. That was a bit too much for them: I just yesterday experienced spoke pull-through, ruining the rim. I rode them the 20-miles to home like this, so they were still strong. But, durability for a guy my size is an issue.
