Hey Stujoe, if your still on here and have any trips planned to ride the Tunnel Hill Trail, give me a shout out. I rode the trail about 6 times last year and never tired of it. I just got back from riding it this morning and am in love again.
For anyone within driving distance of Southern Illinois (that is not much now with gas $4 :() give me a shout if you want to try this great trail. The 20 mile section that I normally do has several tressels and one "Breedens Tressel" is 100ft off the ground and over 500 ft long. The highlight of this trail is the almost 600ft long tunnel that is pitch black in the middle.
Last fall I rode the entire length of the trail from Harrisburg to Karnak (50 miles).
Anyway, if anybody gets over / up/ down this way, give me a shout. I work from home so anytime is usually a good time.
