It's a pretty good day (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jawuqrYKpn4) (doesn't Luce sound a little like Gerry Rafferty?).

I discovered today that the saddle that was almost perfect is absolutely perfect if I don't wear thick padded shorts. Thumbs up for Terry Damselfly and PI shorts with minimum padding. Thick padding does not necessarily translate to more comfort. Bottom happy today. :thumb:

AND

As most of you know, I went from a hybrid to a road bike a couple of months ago. Hubby has been doing fine on his hybrid so far. We got home from today's ride, and he went online looking at road bikes. Of his own volition. I swear. And he's planning on going to the LBS to look at Bianchi's this week. He had a Legnano in the day, and although he was toying with the idea of a Bianchi before, once he Googled and found out that Bianchi bought Legnano, that may have clinched the deal. (Me, I'm keeping out of it. No pressure. No advice. Whatever you want, baby! As long as we keep riding together.)

Life is good.

Yeah.
it's been a good day. Same thing, opposite reason. My butt was sore as hell.
And I wanted it that way. Well, not really. I am trying to get used to hills so I was riding in the middle ring. After a while my butt was screaming.

But I can ride! Last year I had problems out the yin yang and this year I am really riding. Or at least starting to..

Cheers

Oh yeah, +1 on thin pads and good saddles.

BTW: Luce is a San Francisco lad.

There is something about a Bianchi- and like most of us I guess- I do look at other riders bikes on the road to see what they are riding. Driving today and this bike was coming towards me. You could tell it was an accomplished rider by his stance on the bike- the cadence and the way the bike was moving. Normally I only get to note the make on bikes if I pass them- a quick glance on the downtube as I pass and I can pick out the name and sometimes the model. But this bike was coming towards me- No chance to look at the downtube- but it was a Bianchi. That celeste colour is heavenly.

TruF must be a hard butt. I've ridden on a Terry Damselfly and it was too hard and thin for me.

I finally followed that link.
Pretty nice stuff (don't know that he reminds me of Gerry Rafferty, necessarily)
I'm a sucker for a good, tight horn section
