Anybody up for it? I'm reg'd a long time ago, and even though I am only able to pedal with my left side, I am going. It's a great cause and a great climb. If your free, please consider doing it.

If you can get to SF, I think we have room for one more.

Are you injured? I saw you today on Canada, I was with all my kids so I was kinda of distracted and didn't call out to you in time.

Sorry I didn't recognize you. Pretty windy out there, still quite a few kids and normal bike riders out there which is always nice.

After that group ride ~month ago, I got/had burstitis in my right hip. Just starting to ride again, I'm at about 25%, and have to stop every hour and stretch. Loads of fun! 2009, I am going to come back with a vengeance, and take it out at Hellyer! :P

I hope you have some low gears because the last part of that climb is steep!!

Last year a lot of people were walking up the last stretch.

Good luck!

It's a great event for a great cause and I wish I could make it, but I'm heading up to Sattley for a TT instead.

There is a stretch several hundred yards long that is 20% +. You ride 7 flat miles to the base of the climb then ~3,200 feet in 11 miles. I expect I have average BF fitness and did almost all of the hill in my Granny gear. That 1/4 near the top was too much even doing switchbacks. Almost all of the hill is in beautiful shape with very little traffic. With one leg I hope you have a trike and a Schlumpf Mountain Drive.

Yeah, I did my first training ride with my former team there last year. One only guy made it to the top, although I had a cheater 27 in back to help me up time. Going down that part was almost as bad as going up, thought I might flip over. So as long as I don't detonate or aggravate my hip on the first part I hope I'll be ok. If I finish, I may end up top 10 (cat4).

Cmon any takers? Pizza Man isn't going to be there the KOM title is up for grabs!!!! ;)

I'll be there in the M45 4/5s. I think the KOM's safe from me however.
