Folding Bikes - Strida 5 in the NYT -- folding bikes on a wedding registry

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

It's part of a slide show profiling non-traditional wedding gifts called "The Registry | Forget the Place Settings and Crystal".

"WHEN it comes to active couples, especially in warm weather, presents like outdoor games or sports equipment easily trump china place settings and other housewares. For a winning gift, consider a pair of folding bicycles — one pink, one silver, perhaps — that can transport newlyweds down wooded trails and dusty lanes and then be stored in a closet, even in the smallest apartment."

Just thinking that I have yet to see someone in NYC riding one. Anyone spot a strida?

Guy in my neighborhood in the LES has one... folds up small like a unicycle.

Does he have any problems riding it on the streets at a reasonable speed?
