L2D RB100 Brighter than L2D Q5?

I received my second L2D last week and last night as the first time I rode with both the L2D Rebel and the Q5 Premium. Set at the same settings, the Rebel is noticeably brighter than the new Q5. I have the beams overlapping a little and the Rebel beam is more prominent and I can make out the road a lot better under the Rebel's light. I swapped batteries between the two thinking one was low, but I received the same results. The Q5 also has a blue tint to it, whereas the Rebel is more yellow. Why did Fenix discontinue the Rebel and replace it with an inferior light?

I have the Q5 and cannot imagine that not being enough light. Are you sure that you have both in turbo mode? Some people prefer the Rebel tint over the yellow because they can see better but AFAIK they are about the same lumens - 175 versus 180 to the best of my recollection.

Call Fenix. If you think the beam is significantly inferior, ask to exchange it on the possibility that it is defective.
