Thanks, everyone, for coming out so early on a Sunday morning and making this a fun ride. Kudos to the tandem teams of cgallagh & RedRider and Joe/Donna for bouncing back from some minor setbacks and hooking up with the group for the best parts of the ride. It's really great to see the new faces and zest for life everyone brings to these rides, and I'm looking forward to our next ride together. There were actually three tandems that came out today, sweetnsourbkr & Lisa, cgallagh & RedRider, and Joe@VWVortex & Donna caught up to us on our way out to Cantelow.

One thing I notice about these laid back rides is you get all kinds of unique bikes showing up on them. And the 'bents on today's ride were fast, too!

I've ridden up Cantelow before but up the WRONG side!! I had to walk my bike up whilst the cows smirked at me!

BTW, is it always windy in Fairfield by Travis? Sheesh!!

Simply a great ride. Many thanks to all and sundry for the good time and especially for not abandoning me to my fate on Can't-Climb-alowe Road and not pointing and laughing when I finally dragged my carcass to the top..

It was great to have tandems, bents, trikes, folders and singles all riding together. Well, except for the bents - no way a Clydesdale like me gets a draft off of one of those things. :(

It was a great ride today. Met some awesome new people, some who like to ride really fast! Man, I'm gonna be sore tomorrow, but in a good way!

I came back from an extended holiday to find out just days before that this ride had been changed to Sunday from Saturday. I tried but couldn't get out of previously made plans. Here's to hoping for a Part III. I'm going to do a Delta Jam Ride when the century schedule lightens a bit. Organizing it one of these days... :rolleyes:
